Why choose a bunk bed?

Bunk beds offer the perfect solution where space is at a premium and are a popular choice for use in box rooms and where siblings need to share a room. And while bunk beds are primarily used for children, some are also suitable for teenagers and even adults.

As families grow, the house remains the same, and bunk beds provide an excellent choice to utilise the space you have available. While the majority of the range offer sleeping arrangements for two, we also offer some triple sleeper options as well. A bunk bed also offers a great solution for sleep overs where friends or cousins come around to stay.

For added peace of mind, all of our bunk beds are tested to EN747 standards to ensure quality you can trust and all feature guard rails within the design to help keep children safe. We generally advise that top bunks are to be used by children age 6+ who can safely and independently climb up and down the ladder. Also, if installing in a room with a ceiling fan, ensure there is a minimum of 2 metres clearance from the mattress surface and never allow more than one child on an elevated bed at a time.

Many of our bunk beds have clearance under the beds suitable for underbed storage boxes and bags, but we also have many with storage options built into the design. Top Tip: When it comes to finding the right mattress, we recommend looking for bunk mattresses which tend have a lower profile of around 15-16cm depth for a better fit.
