Together with our charity partner Age UK, we’re on a mission to create communities that feel like home and tackle loneliness among older people.

How our fundraising supports Age UK

The money we raise helps provide information, advice, friendship and practical support to older people in their homes and local communities, including the following:​​

Helping 120+ local Age UKs deliver services that make older people feel truly at home in their communities.​

Helping Age UK make friendship calls to older people experiencing loneliness.​

Together we've reached £2 million!​

We’ve raised £2 million with Age UK, reaching this milestone a year ahead of schedule. In 2026, we’re aiming to raise a further £1 million, bringing our overall target to £3 million.​ Every fundraising event, raffle, act of kindness and hot drink enjoyed in our Pausa café has helped us reach this milestone. We couldn’t have done it without your support. ​

How we've been helping

Around 1.9 million older people live below the poverty line and can struggle to afford basics. Our colleagues smashed their challenge of walking 1.9 million steps in one day – they managed more than 28 million steps, raising £25,000.

Over the last two years, our colleagues have taken on some incredible challenges – marathons and half-marathons, skydives, ultra-trekking and cycling – across the UK and further afield.

In early 2025, colleagues came together to raise the combined total of their teams’ ages in support of Age UK’s ‘Act Now, Age Better’ campaign. Colleagues and customers walked, cycled, hiked and danced, raising over £30,000.

We donate 5p from every hot drink sold in our Pausa café directly to Age UK, so every cuppa does a little good.

Donations and fundraising by Dunelm staff and customers for Age UK (registered charity number 1128267) will help fund national and local Age UK services to help older people at home and in communities. For more information and to get involved go to ageuk.org.uk/dunelm. *Dunelm will pay 40p of the retail price to Age UK (registered charity number 1128267) for every festive toastie sold. In England, Wales and Scotland this applies to our Ham Hock Topped Toastie, Brie & Cranberry Topped Toastie and Festive Feast Panini.
